Reverence | AP is a modern jazz group originating from Chattanooga, TN. The group was founded by Austin Petitt over the course of a few years, and solidified in 2026.
Alto Saxophone / Tenor Saxophone
Austin Petitt is a saxophonist from Cleveland, TN. Austin serves as the founder and leader of Reverence | AP. Petitt is a graduate of Lee University with a degree in music business. In his undergrad, he started as a Pastoral Ministry major and later switched to Music Business. During this time, he studied under Tom Hurst, Shawn Perkinson, Clint Schmitt & Alan Wyatt.
His music is influenced by the likes of Brian Blade, Michael Brecker, John Coltrane, Jon Cowherd, Miles Davis, and Wayne Shorter.
Austin currently serves as the youth worship leader for Silverdale St. Elmo in Chattanooga, TN

Tenor Saxophone
Jose Hairston is a musician and fine saxophonist who’s come through the music program at Lee University. First studying classical, then pursuing jazz studies with Alan Wyatt after his undergrad, Jose has made rounds playing with groups all around Tennessee. You may have heard Jose sitting in with Chattanooga’s own Adam Stone, playing for Chatt Jazz Fest jams, or headlining his own group at venues like the Barking Legs Theater. Jose first met Austin during their time at Lee University and have worked and collaborated on a many projects before he joined Austin’s supergroup, Reverence | AP.

Electric Guitar
Alex Keiss is a Chattanooga native who spent years cutting his teeth in Nashville, recording with Grammy award winners, and touring all over the Southeast.
A man of many hats, you can find him performing with his high-flying guitar led fusion band, Et Cetera, or with Americana group, Magic Birds, or with any number of combinations of jazz groups, including Reverence | AP.
Alex is a founding board member of the Chattanooga Jazz Festival
